Hi my name is Mitchell Becker and I am an undergraduate student at the University of New England studying Medical Biology on a Pre-Med track.

Some of my favorite hobbies are camping outdoors, reading, and spending time with family and friends. Ever since arriving at UNE I’ve come to call it my home, but I am originally from Middleton, MA. It’s a small suburban town just thirty minutes north of Boston. It is well known for being the home of Richardson’s Ice Cream, they distribute ice cream to most of New England.

I don’t usually write a lot in my free time, but I occasionally enjoy writing short stories and poems. Because I like to spend most of my time outdoors, you can usually find me walking along Freddy Beach with bare feet and a friend or two by my side.

I believe that education is key to creating a well-rounded person. Education at its best is through discussion and debate of topics between the student and the teacher. Causing the student to question everything that they had ever known or believed.

I am currently an EMT and really enjoy helping people. Which is why I plan on going on to medical school after college.
